A postdoctoral position is available immediately at The New York University School of Medicine, New York City, NY. This position will involve the study of physiological consequence of PI3K/Akt intracellular signaling on learning & memory, and its implications in dopaminergic neurotransmission and mental illness.
A successful candidate must hold a PhD degree in neuroscience-related biological sciences along with evidence of first-authored papers in top journals. Training in mouse behavioral studies and/or slice electrophysiology is desired. The candidate will benefit from all other techniques used in the laboratory (molecular biology, biochemistry & cell biology) and work in a multidisciplinary, collaborative research environment.
